Many funders have initiated efforts to strengthen the problem-solving capacity of neighborhood residents. This philanthropic approach can be assessed with methods that measure the nature and quality of local participation. Led by John McKnight, Founder and Co-Director of the ABCD Institute, this workshop for those in the philanthropic community will explore new evaluation tools and discover how they can be a source of enabling neighborhood power and broaden the impact of local philanthropy.
