Michael Williams

I am Strategies 2.0 Director at The Child Abuse Prevention Center. Strategies 2.0 is a California-wide program that builds knowledge and networks for professionals serving families. I come to the work with more than two decades of experience in organizational leadership and service to families, most recently as Deputy Director for Programs at the Children’s Council of San Francisco. I also have worked at Casey Family Programs, Contra Costa Child Care Council, and United Cerebral Palsy of the Golden Gate, and taught a course in human services at College of Alameda. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from San Francisco State University, with a focus on organizational and community development. Having lived and/or worked in Los Angeles, Tuolumne County, Santa Clara, Napa, San Francisco, Richmond, Oakland, and Alameda, I feel a personal investment in communities throughout California. I now live in Sacramento with my wife, teenage son, and too many pets. I also  ama proud parent of an adult son and daughter. In my free time, I enjoy running, gardening, reading, and watching my son play basketball. Preferred pronouns: he/him.
