Hi Janine, Thank you so much for the warm welcome!

I look forward to catching up on the Unconference and browsing the various parts of the site. I've also requested to join the facebook site, so will have lots to keep myself busy!

It would be great to hear about the work in South Africa. I'm currently hoping to identify some really positive examples of business engagement from across the globe that I might be able to synthesise to mobilise some action here in the UK. I've been doing some work with supermarkets on their community-oriented CSR programmes, and its clear to me that there's so much more impact to be made through collaborating locally in a truly local, asset-based way.

Best wishes,

Caroline

Hi Caroline, let's chat on email - mine is jwinspace@gmail.com

I have worked with Sappi on a very big programme in which they adopted ABCD as their way of working, and using their CSR budget to support the work. It was very impactful.

Looking forward to engaging with you on this and other business-related ideas!

Best wishes

Janine

Hi Caroline

Welcome to the ABCD in Action community. It's wonderful to have you with us.

I am personally interested in chatting with you about the corporate/business engagement with ABCD, as I have some experience with that in South Africa.

Take some time to explore the site - there are plenty of blogs to read, conversations in the forum, and lots of videos.  Check out upcoming events and training opportunities that you might be interested in. Be sure to check the monthly ABCD in Action Global Gatherings (see the Events tab). In addition, to all the great information here, there are also some great resources available on the ABCD Institute website. You can also join ABCD in Action on Facebook.

The 2022 virtual ABCD Unconference took place last week and was a resounding success! Over 40 FREE sessions across 48 hours by communities around the world. You’ll find the recordings of the 49 hosted sessions on the ABCD E-Book site: https://www.abcd-ebook.site or you can access them on the ABCD Unconference website.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We'd also love to hear your ideas, questions, and more.

Yours in Community,

Janine Ward
