LOVE THIS! I was just listening to a Matthew Fox YouTube presentation and I was struck by how so much of what ails us is the result of being cut off from nature, something our rural communities have never lost. Here is the video for anyone who is interested. Kind of long but I really enjoyed it:

I sometimes hear "I moved to the country to 'get away from it all.'" I always heard that as 'it all' is out there, somewhere other than here, in their minds. When in fact, I have always felt that 'it all' surrounds me, this place and the focus of my concerns and life.
