New to ABCD: What resources would you recommend?

Shared Resources and Materials

Thanks Kenneth

I'm open to the idea. I have them all listed in Endnote but it doesn't have much information in it besides the bibliographical details.

What sort of details were you thinking of including?

The biggest problem for me would be finding time to do much.

Regards
Graeme

Shared Resources and Materials

Hi, I've created a reading list of over 100 resources on ABCD which you can find at https://sustainingcommunity.wordpress.com/2016/04/11/abcd-reading-list/

Frameworks for capturing impacts of ABCD

Tips, Tools, Strategies, and Technology

I was going to suggest the one by Brianne Peters and co, but see you linked to it already.

Here's a couple of resources that might be of help. (The first isn't available on the net for free, so if you have trouble getting it contact me.)

Ennis, G., & West, D. (2010). Exploring the potential of social network analysis in asset-based community development practice and research. Australian Social Work, 63(4), 404 - 417.

Potter, R. (2015). An impact assessment of the Great Yarmouth family connectors project. Cambridge: AnalyticsCambridge. Available from http://www.analyticscambridge.co.uk/FamilyConnectors.php

Nor sure they are really what you are looking for but they might help.

I've also created a list of over 100 resources on ABCD that might be of interest available from https://sustainingcommunity.wordpress.com/2016/04/11/abcd-reading-list/

Good luck with it

Graeme

Community A and Community B

Tips, Tools, Strategies, and Technology

Here is a link to an exercise I'm finding quite effective in workshops. http://sustainingcommunity.wordpress.com/2013/01/30/community-a-and-communityb/ I'd love to know who developed the idea. Jenny Cameron, Paul Hodge, Amanda Howard and I started using it after coming across it in a report by Ninnette Eliasov from South Africa.

Libraries and ABCD

ABCD and Institutions (Universities, Hospitals, Government, Libraries, NGOs, etc.)

Does anybody know of any good resources on libraries and ABCD, or just libraries and community engagement?

There is an interesting report "The Engaged Library" by Jody Kretzmann and Susan Rans http://www.abcdinstitute.org/docs/ULCReport.pdf.

I've listed a few others at http://sustainingcommunity.wordpress.com/2013/01/25/libraries-and-community-engagement/

Thanks
