Design for the Commons
Hello Everyone,
My name is Malikia Johnson and I am a new member of the community. It's been so nice to see everyone's stories and reflections about this very important work! I wanted to share with everyone a project that two partners and I have been working on called Design for the Commons. It's simply a toolkit for neighborhoods to use to create systems where care and trust are predictable outcomes. Not a new idea but we tried to make it a more intriguing idea. If you get the chance to visit the site and download it we would love your feedback. I look forward with getting to know more of you well. I am based in DC so if any of you are near perhaps we could meet in person when it's safer to do so.

Hi Malikia,
What a gorgeous design!!! Wow!
I was recently on a webinar series with someone from Kola Nut, too!
There's a group of us around the world currently pulling together resources, tools and original writings, graphics and more to co-create the world's largest ABCD e-book!
Let me know if you would like to participate, in any way, you can join the calls every 2 weeks or just be aware of what we're up to and contribute to the smaller groups and add your info!

Hi Dee,
Thank you for the kind words! Yes I would love to know more about the group and be able to contribute in any way I can.
I'm not on Facebook so thank you for sharing!

Malikia,
I wanted to thank you for this (literally) beautiful resource and for sharing it here. Also, welcome to the community!
As Dee said, I LOVE The gorgeous aesthetic as well as how you break it down to be so very hands-on and ready-to-go. This is exactly the kind of tools I think we need to be focused on creating within ABCD going forward. I actually have a couple of ABCD friends in DC I'd love to connect you with. Do you mind emailing me at aprildoner @ gmail.com? :D
LOVE THIS! Thank you for sharing.
