You may want to check with your local police department for forfeiture funds. It may be dependent on the state statutes about use of the funds - in Florida, 15% of the funds are to go to the community. St. Petersburg's Police Department has a funding request application that groups can submit. The statute defines specific criteria: "must expend or donate no less than 15 percent of such proceeds for the support or operation of any drug treatment, drug abuse education, drug prevention, crime prevention, safe neighborhood, or school resource officer program(s)". It may be a possible option for you or at least one to ask about.
