My girlfriend and I have started an ABCD group in our city. We're called the Holistic Learning Community. We've met about five times since Feb. 3rd this year. Right off the bat, we got to talking about gardening, education, volunteer projects, etc. I was in the process of discovering ABCD, so every meeting after the first one we've been assimilating ABCD principles into our discussions on ethics and planning. We're meeting again this coming Sunday to start working towards our first official project: we are going to build one anothers' gardens. Anyone who attends the group can ask for help getting a garden started. It follows that once more of us have gardens that produce food, we will have a functioning community foodshed. Other project planning will continue and will build off of this one. We've got a small asset inventory and interest inventory going as well.
