Who's up for a conversation??

ABCD and Disaster/Emergency Management

Hi Everyone,

There was a small group from Australia and the US meeting around ABCD and Disaster/Emergency some time back and the calls fizzled out. Is there energy from others to restart the conversation around ABCD and Disaster / Emergency planning and recovery?

Reach out to me (michelle@jeder.com.au) and we will get the ball rolling for 2021.

The word "Citizen"

Training

Great conversation started Ron. From my perspective, I don't generally use the word citizen as it is not widely used term across communities here in Australia, so may not come with the same baggage. I tend to think of it as a US centric term .

Rather, I opt for using descriptors like participants, people, neighbours, mob (Aboriginal term group - family, clam or community) or community depending on the context.
